I/my child has never played basketball before , can I come along ?
Answer
Yes the club is open to novices and seasoned players alike .

What are the age groups ?
Answer
Under 10 ( school year 2,3,4 & 5 ) – co-ed .
Under 12 ( school year 6 & 7 ) - co-ed .
Under 14 ( school year 8 & 9 ) - co-ed .
Under 16 – ( school year 10 & 11 ) – co-ed.

Who runs the training sessions?
Answer: The club has one level 3 coach, two level 2 coaches and two level 1 coaches. All of our coaches and helpers have been screened for their suitability for working with young people.

Are there competitions or is it just training ?
Answer : We do not participate in league structures at age groups u10-u16 but if the opportunity arises and the club has enough Volunteer Supervising Team Managers we will play friendly games with local clubs to provide an element of external competition.
Question: 🏀What is different from previous sessions ?
Answer: All players must become a member of Swale Basketball Club and also a member of Basketball England to attend the basketball sessions.

🏀What happens next ?
Answer: Subject to there being available space at the club , new players are invited to come along for a free, no commitment ‘taster’ session where further information will be provided, including guidance on the joining process .

🏀Do all age groups compete/participate in games/leagues ?
Answer: Our junior basketball is developmental sessions aimed to build and promote participation of the sport within the borough of Swale and surrounding areas.

🏀Can I turn up without membership?
Answer: Whilst we would love to have more participate at the Club, we operate on a new player invitation and membership-only basis across the entire Club.
