Welcome to the Swale Hawks! We are a not-for-profit, community-focused basketball team based in Sittingbourne, Kent.

Our club is built on inclusivity, teamwork, and a passion for the game. We proudly welcome youth players from School Year 2 all the way through to School Year 13, catering to all skill levels—from absolute beginners picking up a basketball for the first time to experienced players looking to compete.

What We Offer

Expert Coaching: Weekly structured training sessions designed to build fundamental skills, coordination, and confidence in a safe, supportive environment.
All Abilities Welcome: Whether your child wants to play recreationally, make new friends, or test their skills in competitive matches, there is a place for them here.
Local Competition: For players looking for a competitive edge, our under 12 , under 14 and under 16 squad's represent the club in the Kent County Junior Basketball League
Affordable Sports: As a non-profit, our priority is keeping youth sports accessible. We channel all resources back into the club to keep fees as low as possible.

Our Session Days , Age Groups and Times

We run tailored sessions structured around school year groups to ensure every player receives age-appropriate coaching:

Saturdays .
Under 8's & 10’s ( school year 2,3,4 & 5 ) – 9.00am until 10.00am .
Under 12’s ( school year 6 & 7 ) - 10.00am until 11.30am.
Under 16’s ( school year 10 & 11 ) – 11.30am until 1.00pm .
Under 18’s ( school year 12 & 13 ) – 11.30am until 1.000pm .
Under 14’s ( school year 8 & 9 ) - 1.00pm until 2.30pm .
Tuesday Evenings
Under 13’s ,14’s,16’s ( school year 7 , 8 , 9 , 10 & 11 ) – Girls Only - 6.00pm until 7.00pm .
Adults | Ages 18+ - 7.00pm until 8.00pm .

That is why we offer a free, no-commitment taster session for all new players who has not visited the club before .

A thrilling encounter saw the Roos come from behind to secure a crucial 1 point victory. Down by 12 points at halftime, captain Jake Morrison sparked the comeback with a brilliant individual goal in the late in the 3rd quarter. Young gun winger Tommy Chen sealed the win with a spectacular off-the-ground finish in the dying minutes. The defensive effort from Mike Stevens and Danny Walsh was outstanding, making crucial tackles when it mattered most.
